A few of our recommended Wedding Venues

Weddings

If you’re planning a wedding in Somerset, Dorset or Wiltshire and are still looking for your ideal venue, we’ll be putting together some blogs over the next few weeks to share some of our top picks for you. Our first 5 are in Somerset and Dorset and are listed in alphabetical order (not in ranking order!).

Dillington House, Ilminster, Somerset

Dillington House has to be one of Somerset’s most beautiful country houses, and is certainly one of it’s top wedding venues. It has fantastic front and rear gardens and has recently been renovated. It’s a stunning setting for your wedding. I love the whole feeling of the house, which is just perfect! Wedding and Events Manager Emily and her team do an amazing job in making Dillington House a great choice for your wedding.

The Grange at Oborne, Dorset

If you’re looking for a luxury country house hotel that offers first-class service, has beautiful gardens, and is in a setting that is second to none, then The Grange is hard to beat! Jon & Jenny and their team are always so welcoming and efficient and the gardens, and surrounding country lane and fields offer numerous opportunities for lovely relaxed photographs.

Holbrook Manor, Wincanton, Somerset

An exclusive, Georgian country house hotel with a contemporary twist. Recently refurbished to a very high standard, Holbrook Manor offers a lovely blend of luxury and country charm. I love the diversity of locations around the grounds ~ great for really relaxed photographs throughout your wedding day. Some of my favourite spots are around the Dovecot, The Summer House, and a beautiful stone arch. Sian and her team provide exceptional service, and the food is truly delicious.

Kingston Maurward, Dorchester, Dorset

This venue has so much going for it. The 18th-century house at Kingston Maurward is idyllic and the formal gardens and lake are fantastic, offering so much for me as a photographer. I have covered weddings here for many years, and know all of the must-have places to photograph images for your day. The front and rear of the house offer great opportunities, in addition to the rest of the grounds. A great choice for the smaller intimate wedding as well as larger wedding parties.

The Longhouse, Bruton, Somerset

If you want a venue that is spectacularly different, yet stunning, look no further than The Longhouse. It’s an award-winning eco-house that offers unique photo opportunities throughout gorgeous grounds. The Longhouse is light and airy and Wedding Co-ordinator Danika is simply brilliant! I love taking couples for on-site riverside walks for lovely relaxed photographs.
