The current Covid-19 pandemic has forced temporary closure on so many businesses. We know we are not alone, but it’s difficult not being able to do the job we love to do. Photography is a huge part of what defines both Graham and I as individuals and for now, we have very little idea of when we’ll be allowed to officially pick up our cameras again.
What are we doing now?
Rest assured that we are using the ‘free’ time that is a consequence of this pandemic to keep ourselves busy. We have both been working on a brand new website, Trixie has been learning new skills in maternity & newborn photography online and Graham has been shooting product imagery for commercial clients, helping them to stand out from the competition (socially distant product drop-offs always adhered to!),
The last 7 weeks have been a rollercoaster of ups and downs for so many. It’s hard not to be running and nurturing our business as normal, but conversely, we’ve had quality time with our kids. We are anxious one minute, and grateful the next! We are safe at home and very lucky on so many counts.
What next?
It is looking more and more likely that it may be early July before we are allowed to open the studio again, and we will continue to follow the government guidelines and keep our clients in touch with our plans. We have recently had enquiries about the possibility of ‘outdoor’ sessions and will be organising session dates as soon as we are allowed to. If you would like to be added to a waiting list and notified of session availability for children, family, or pet portraits outdoors, do let us know by emailing trixiehiscock@googlemail.com or commenting below.
We look forward to seeing you all very soon, and to capturing all your special family moments. Until then, thank you for your continued support.
Please stay happy, safe and well.
Graham & Trixie
