Black & White Wedding Photography?

“To see in colour is a delight for the eye but to see in black and white is a delight for the soul”

ANDI CAULDWELL

For some time now my love of black & white photography has tempted me to add another option within our wedding photography collections ~the ‘Pure Black & White’ Collection.

The big question is, would you consider booking a black & white only collection?

There is always something quite romantic and even nostalgic about looking at black & white wedding photographs. Increasingly, people are praising how striking the monochrome image is, and I have to agree – I just love the tonal depth and atmosphere that can be created. A collection of black & white images combine beautifully when there is no colour distractions.

But, would a complete wedding in black & white be a viable option? Would couples ‘get it’ and more importantly would they regret not having at least some colour photographs within their collection in years to come?

For me as a photographer, the images are striking, cohesive and classy. What do you think?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this as an idea and whether this may appeal to you for your wedding photography. Please let me know…..
